At SIPs UK, our preferred choice of structural beams is glue-laminates timber beams, however we also have the design and fabrication capabilities to use steel beams as part of our SIP package. Our designers have extensive experience detailing connections and creating fabrication drawings for both steel and glulam beams.
We offer 22mm Egger Peel clean P5 Tongue and Grove chipboard decking for internal use and plywood decking for external areas, but we can also supply alternatives where necessary.
Metal webbed joists are our preferred joist system, constructed using two pre-stressed parallel timbers held in place by a series of v-shaped steel webs. To accommodate specific customer requirements, we can also work with I-Joists and solid timber joists.
Load-bearing – Our load-bearing internal walls are constructed using a 95mm SIP panel system, machined to size using our 5-axis CNC machine.
